Wayground Setup Instructions: Using the Website

Use this option only if the app (Option 1) does not work for you. Follow the seven steps below to create your account, join your class, and find your assigned module quizzes.

Prefer the app? Switch to Option 1: Using the app instead.

Click the following link and create your account

Sign up using the SAME email address you used for registration. Do not use “Sign in with Apple” — there are known technical issues with Apple Sign-In.

We recommend using only ONE of the following options:

  • Continue with Google — if you have a Gmail account
  • Continue with Email — for any non-Gmail email address
  • Continue with Microsoft — if you have a Microsoft account

Use the “For K-12 Schools” option

As shown in the screenshot below.

Answer the age question
Very important: Go to the LAST option in the dropdown and select “13+” (as shown below).

Click the join-class link again once logged in

Enter the class code

Enter the class code as shared by the office staff to join the class. See the screenshot below.

Find your assigned quizzes

Go to the “Activity” tab and you’ll see all assigned module quizzes there. (You won’t see any module assigned until you’ve started your cohort.) If you can’t find the “Activity” option, use this link instead:

Wayground Troubleshooting

For students who have successfully set up Wayground, but are running into issues using the app.

?When I input the join code, it says “invalid.” What should I do?

Make sure you are not entering the code on the “Join game” screen. Navigate to the “Classes” tab after logging in, click “Join a class,” and enter the class code there. See the screenshots in the instructions above.

?The Wayground app is not loading the quiz.

Exit the app and relaunch it from your phone’s home screen.

?I do not see my quiz in the app.

Make sure you are in the “Activity” tab. If you still do not see the quiz, exit the app and relaunch it from your phone’s home screen.

?I do not see the option to join a class.
  • Navigate to the “Classes” tab at the bottom.
  • Click “Join a class.”
  • Enter the class code provided by the school staff.
