Wayground Setup Instructions: Using the App
Follow the four steps below to install Wayground, create your account, join your class, and find your assigned module quizzes.
Having trouble with the app? Switch to Option 2: Using the website instead.
Get it from your device’s app store.
- Select the School (K–12 to University) option. Do not use the “Work” option.
- Select the Student option.
- Click “Login/Signup” at the top right corner, as shown by the arrow in the screenshot below. Do not enter any code in the box that says “enter a join code” — you’ll enter your class code in a later step, not here.
Sign up using the SAME email you used for registration. Do not use “Sign in with Apple” — there are known technical issues with Apple Sign-In.
We recommend using only ONE of the following options:
- Signup with Google — if you have a Gmail account
- Signup with Email — for any non-Gmail address. Click “More Signup options” to see this option.
- Signup with Microsoft — if you have a Microsoft account. Click “More Signup options” to see this option.
Enter your full name during registration.
- Navigate to the “Classes” tab at the bottom (see screenshot below).
- Click “Join a class.”
- Enter the class code provided by the school staff.
Once your teacher has assigned you module quizzes, you can find them here:
- Click the “Activity” tab, as shown in the screenshot below.
Wayground Troubleshooting
For students who have successfully set up Wayground, but are running into issues using the app.
Make sure you are not entering the code on the “Join game” screen. Navigate to the “Classes” tab after logging in, click “Join a class,” and enter the class code there. See the screenshots in the instructions above.
Exit the app and relaunch it from your phone’s home screen.
Make sure you are in the “Activity” tab. If you still do not see the quiz, exit the app and relaunch it from your phone’s home screen.
- Navigate to the “Classes” tab at the bottom.
- Click “Join a class.”
- Enter the class code provided by the school staff.
