Bay Area CNA School Summer Attendance & Makeup Policy

This Bay Area CNA School summer attendance and makeup policy applies to programs starting between mid-May and end of August, and covers absence limits, make-up fees, and deadlines for both theory and clinical training.

Max Allowed — Theory1 absence

Max Allowed — Clinical1 absence

Makeup Fees$50 Theory, $75 Clinical

Exceeding either absence limit results in immediate dismissal from the program.

All missed classes MUST be made up to meet CDPH hour requirements.

Make-Up Policy

Theory Make-Ups

Any missed theory class must be made up before you begin your clinical training. We run multiple Weekday AM, Weekday PM, and Weekend cohorts in parallel — theory make-ups are completed in another cohort running at the same time, not as extra days within your own cohort. A missed AM class may be made up in a PM or Weekend cohort, and vice versa. Once you submit a make-up request, staff will schedule the session and ensure it’s completed before you begin clinical training.

Clinical Make-Ups

All clinical make-up hours must be completed within 60 days of the original absence, scheduled in another cohort running at the same time when space is available.

Make-Up Fee

$50 per Theory make-up class, and $75 per Clinical make-up class.
