Policy regarding video skills:
You can only make up a very limited hours using video skills. Your instructor or the school staff will inform you about the hours credit you will receive using the video skills.
Skill Video Assignment Instructions:
1 Record three (3) skill videos of your choice, excluding the following:
◦ Handwashing
◦ Measuring pulse
◦ Measuring respiration
◦ Measuring weight
2 Instructions for your videos:
◦ You may use a family member, friend, or any object around the house to demonstrate your skills.
◦ Verbalize every single step as outlined in the Credentia packet for the skill you are demonstrating. (Link provided below.)
◦ If you do not have the proper supplies at home, improvise to the best of your ability while still verbalizing all steps accurately.
3 Examples of skills you can practice:
◦ Taking manual blood pressure (if you have access to a blood pressure cuff)
◦ Range of motion exercises
◦ Assisting with ambulation or transferring a “patient”
◦ Providing oral care or dressing assistance
4 Submission:
◦ Use your phone or laptop to record and upload the videos.
